Equipment

  • Martini Glass
  • Cocktail shaker
  • Ice box
  • Bar blender

Ingredients

  • 5-6 red cherries (for garnishing, - optional)

Ingredients for Gin and Mint Cocktail

  • 1 shot gin (you may use vodka as well based on your preferance)
  • 90 ml Khus green syrup
  • 2 ml lime juice
  • ½-1 cup lemonade
  • 10-12 mint leaves (a fresh bunch, or a handful – from large hands)
  • 7-8 cubes ice
  • 5-6 red cherries (for garnishing, - optional)

Instructions

Steps for making Gin and Mint Cocktail

  • Throw some ice rocks into a pestle.
  • Add a good bit of fresh mint leaves followed by some lime juice.
  • Add a bit of Khus syrup, after giving the Khus bottle a good shake.
  • Now pour the lemonade.
  • Then muddle the mixture well enough for the aroma of mint to blend in nicely. A bar blender should be great for this.
  • Strain the blend into the Martini cocktail glass directly (or into a separate pitcher).
  • Add a shot of gin, then stir gently.
  • Garnish with a few mint leaves. Or drop in a cherry, if you like.
  • If you’ve got it right, you’ll get the minty whiff far before you’ve even sipped the drink.

Notes

Watchout Tips :
1) Do not add a drop over the defined quantity as Khus like bad perfume could affect the aroma of the drink.
2) Avoid using a grinder or blender as it will not produce the same effect as muddling/beating.  You won’t want the drink to be a watered down version of a green paste.
